Frank Albrecht heads the division “Philipp Schwartz Initiative and Academic Freedom” at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Since 2016, the Humboldt Foundation has supported around 70 displaced Syrian researchers in Germany through the Philipp Schwartz Initiative (PSI) and other programmes, a significant diaspora network of experts spanning a range of fields from plant genetics to legal studies.
