Qusai Ramadan

Dr. Qusai Ramadan is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark in the Center for Industrial Software. His research focuses on software engineering, with a particular interest in model-based development. He has been involved in several European research projects and actively contributes to the development of trustworthy systems, with an emphasis on security, privacy, and fairness by design. With a background that bridges both academia and industry, Dr. Ramadan brings a practical and research-driven perspective to his teaching and collaborations. He currently teaches courses in Algorithms and Data Structures, as well as Model-Based Software Design, at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels.

Mira Sievers

Professor of Islamic Theology at the University of Hamburg. She studied Islamic Studies, Islamic Theology, and Linguistics at Goethe University Frankfurt and at SOAS, University of London, including language stays in Beirut, Cairo, and Istanbul. In 2018, she earned her PhD at Goethe University Frankfurt. From 2020 to 2024, she held the Junior Professorship for Islamic Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics at Humboldt University of Berlin. In the winter semester of 2024/2025, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies in Amman, Jordan. Her research focuses on the Quran, KalÄm, and Islamic ethics, especially on gender-related and interreligious questions.

Nidal Zarifeh

Nidal Zarifeh received his Ph.D. degree (summa cum laude) in electrical engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, in 2019, his master degree in advanced telecommunication engineering, specializing in mobile communications, jointly from IMT Atlantique, France, and Damascus University, Syria, in 2012, and the B.Sc. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Damascus University in 2006. Nidal has gained extensive industry experience in mobile communications and RFID development. Currently, he works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Digital Signal Processing, University of Duisburg-Essen. He is actively involved in several national and European research projects. His research focuses on cutting-edge wireless technologies and applications, including , 6G, 5G, THz, full-duplex, massive MIMO, RFID, localization, and applied AI.

Ehab Badwi

Ehab Badwi is a visionary leader and the founder of the Young Global Citizens Assembly e.V., a global network uniting young leaders to drive transformative initiatives in education and peacebuilding. Through flagship projects like the Syrian Youth Assembly, his work has empowered over 200,000 young people worldwide.

With over a decade of experience, Ehab has held key roles, including Regional Focal Point for the UN Major Group for Children and Youth, and has been a trusted advisor on the Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) agenda. He has represented youth perspectives on global platforms such as the World Humanitarian Summit and led impactful projects to operationalize strategic action plans for youth inclusion in peace processes.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Governance and Policy at the University of Potsdam, Ehab specializes in public policy, migration, and peacebuilding. Tareq Juratli

Prof. Tareq Juratli is Vice Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden and Director of the Neuro-Oncology Center within the National Center for Tumor Diseases. His clinical expertise focuses on the surgical treatment of central nervous system and skull base tumors, with a special interest in gliomas, meningiomas, metastases, and acoustic neuromas. In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Juratli leads a research laboratory dedicated to uncovering the molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis and developing innovative therapeutic strategies for patients with CNS tumors.

Maher Daboul

M.Sc Architekt, is a licensed architect with over 10 years of professional and academic experience. He began his architectural studies in 2009 at Damascus University and moved to Germany in 2013 to specialize in reconstruction. He earned top honors (1.0) for both his bachelor’s and master’s theses on “Rebuilding Syria” at Leibniz University Hannover, receiving two academic recognitions. Maher works as an architect at Vier Linden Architekten and is the founder of the Rehla Network (www.rehla-net.com), an initiative that promotes architectural knowledge and dialogue across the Arab world.

Hani Harb

Dr. Harb obtained his Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Amman University in 2006.
Since then, he has moved to Germany and got his Master’s in Infectious Immunology and PhD in Immuno-epigenetics from Philipps University Marburg. In 2017, he moved with his family to the USA to work as a research fellow at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital.
In 2019, he was promoted to Junior Faculty member at Harvard Medical School as an instructor in pediatrics and immunology.
In 2022, he was appointed an assistant professor of Infectious Immunology at the Technical University of Dresden. His lab focuses on various lung infections and immunological diseases such as Asthma, COPD, and Lung fibrosis.
