A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn bears a red ring. The Gut side of the Gewindelehrdorn should manually (without extra force) screw into the cut thread of a work piece. If not possible, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn can manually (without extra force) screw into the cut thread up to two turns. If it screws in more, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The reference temperature for work pieces and gauges is 20° Celsius. VÖLKEL, upon request, provides a factory calibration certificate (price on inquiry). An independent metrology lab, separate from VÖLKEL's production, performs calibration according to the specified standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
