Southwire's Type XHHW-2 & RW90 conductors are mainly used in conduit, cable tray, or other recognized raceways for service, feeders, and branch circuit wiring, as per the National Electric Code (NEC) and the Canadian Electrical Code (CE Code). These conductors can operate at temperatures up to 90°C in wet and dry locations, 130°C during emergency overloads, and 250°C during short circuits. XHHW-2 conductors are rated for 600 volts and 1000 volts, while RW90 conductors are rated for 600 volts. Their flexible bare copper stranding facilitates installation in cramped spaces and is suitable for electrical equipment in industrial facilities with harsh chemicals, telecommunications, and data centers.
