
Professor of Islamic Theology at the University of Hamburg. She studied Islamic Studies, Islamic Theology, and Linguistics at Goethe University Frankfurt and at SOAS, University of London, including language stays in Beirut, Cairo, and Istanbul. In 2018, she earned her PhD at Goethe University Frankfurt. From 2020 to 2024, she held the Junior Professorship for Islamic Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics at Humboldt University of Berlin. In the winter semester of 2024/2025, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies in Amman, Jordan. Her research focuses on the Quran, KalÄm, and Islamic ethics, especially on gender-related and interreligious questions.
